Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026. We collect the minimum needed to run the Service, never sell your personal data, and protect it with reasonable safeguards.
1. Information we collect
You provide: when you book a seva, donate, set a reminder, submit a review, or list a temple — your name, contact (phone/email), address for prasad, and message content. Stored in your browser only: saved temples, language choice and your diya streak (local storage). Automatically: basic, non-identifying usage/diagnostic data and a language cookie.
2. How we use it
Only to provide and improve the Service — fulfil bookings/donations/reminders, moderate reviews, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse/fraud, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data or use advertising trackers.
3. Payments
Payments are handled by third-party gateways. We do not store full card or bank details on our servers; the gateway processes them under its own privacy policy.
4. Sharing
We share data only as needed with: the temple/trust fulfilling your booking or donation; payment and communication providers; and authorities where required by law. We require processors to protect your data.
5. Security & retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest). No method is 100% secure. We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, and you can clear locally-stored data from your browser at any time. Contact privacy@mandirfinder.com.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted where practicable.
