Ayodhya Shwetambar Jain Temple
About Ayodhya Shwetambar Jain Temple
Located in the Awas Vikas Colony of Raiganj, Ayodhya, this recently developed Jain temple is dedicated to Rishabhdev, also known as Adinath, Purdev, Vrishabhdev, and Adi Brahma—the first Tirthankar in Jain tradition. The temple features an impressive 31-foot-high marble statue of Rishabhdev with additional deity representations on both sides. The shrine was developed under the spiritual guidance of Acharya Ratna Deshbhushanji Maharaj and Aryika Gyanmati Mataji. Ayodhya holds profound significance in Jainism as the site where eighteen 'Kalyanak' events of various Tirthankars occurred, with five Tirthankars—Adinath, Ajitnath, Abhinandannath, Sumatinath, and Ananthnath—born and preaching there. The temple's ornate architecture features intricately carved walls, beautiful pillars, and detailed sculptures reflecting the skill of traditional artisans, creating a visually and spiritually enriching experience for pilgrims and visitors.
