Balaji Temple, Ketkawla
About Balaji Temple, Ketkawla
Located approximately 45 kilometers from Pune on the Pune-Bangalore highway, Prati Balaji Temple was constructed between 1996 and 2003 under the guidance of Tirumala Tirupati Temple Devasthanam. The temple meticulously replicates the original Tirupati Balaji Temple's design, featuring intricate stone carvings, majestic gopurams, and a central sanctum housing a wooden idol of Lord Venkateshwara painted with grey oil paint. Building materials, including black stone, were sourced from Kanchipuram to maintain authenticity. The temple grounds are expansive and well-maintained, set amidst lush green landscapes and peaceful surroundings. All pujas and sevas are performed by priests from the Tirupati Balaji Temple, and devotees receive the same prasad (laddoo) as offered at the original temple.
