Nageshvara Jyotirlinga
About Nageshvara Jyotirlinga
Aundha Nagnath temple, located in Hingoli District of Maharashtra, holds significant religious importance as a major pilgrimage site mentioned in the Mahabharata. According to tradition, the original temple was constructed by Yudhishthira during the Pandavas' exile, though the present structure was built by the Seuna (Yadava) dynasty in the 13th century. The temple once featured seven stories before suffering damage during Aurangzeb's campaigns. Today it remains an active place of worship where devotees can access darshan freely throughout extended daily hours, with special abhishek ceremonies performed at dawn and evening.
