About the temple

The Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram is one of India's twelve Jyotirlingas, where Lord Rama is believed to have installed a Shiva lingam before crossing the ocean to Lanka. The temple features the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
