About Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple

Located on S.K. Bole Marg in Prabhadevi, Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple stands as one of Mumbai's most cherished and wealthiest temples, originally built in 1801. The temple draws lakhs of devotees throughout the year, with particularly intense crowds on Tuesdays, when the doors open pre-dawn at 3:15 AM to accommodate worshippers. The sanctum houses a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha whose distinctive right-tilted trunk is believed to grant success and fulfillment to devotees. The temple is managed by the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, which operates modern facilities including online darshan booking, VIP fast-track darshan services, and special poojas. The temple offers free general darshan and all aartis to all visitors, with paid VIP options available to bypass lengthy queues that can extend 5-8 hours during peak times. The temple also conducts vehicle blessings and various ritual services, and engages in charitable activities including medical assistance and educational support.
